bakugo katsuki; 爆豪勝己 Age 17 Gender male Height 5'8 / 172cm Build very muscular Path bard first impressions Katsuki is an angry, volatile boy who doesn't understand the concept of "inside voices". He swears like a sailor, and uses insulting nicknames for people until he recognizes their strength in ability aka until he's decided they're worth calling by their actual names. His voice is usually low and even tempered, in his neutral state but when he gets angry and raises it it gets high in pitch and starts to sound raspy. It's especially bad when he starts crying, his voice cracking and completely being unable to keep it at an even pitch. He's not too entirely tall, but he's not short either and he's muscular looking even in clothes with a nice pack of abs and strong arms. He has impressive combat skills and strength that he's built up over years and years of training, able to beat or be on par with professionals just by pure combat skill alone and he's naturally good at almost everything he does. From being incredibly smart and well at school subjects to being good at playing instruments or cooking, he's a very well rounded boy though he tends to work on instinct over thinking of convoluted strategies. But he's still capable of thinking of tactics to win against particularly strong enemies -- but they don't always go over perfectly. He's loud and obnoxious with a fuse shorter than a candle wick, but he doesn't always mean to be insulting or rude when he calls someone a dumbass. It's hard to tell when he's started to like someone, because he insults people either way but if he's not telling you to get the fuck away from him chances are he considers you a comrade and won't mind having you around. He has a hard time showing off genuine emotion so don't expect him to outright say that your his friend... but know that if you manage to befriend him, you'll have a strong ally willing to protect you and stand up for you if someone else gives you shit. He also smells incredibly sweet thanks to naturally sweating nitroglycerine, mixed with the smell of smoke. actions EXPLOSION: "The super power, or Quirk, that Bakugo was born with. He sweats nitroglycerine and can ignite it in the palms of his hands, creating small to large explosions that he uses for various tricks and abilities. His favourite being the ability to shoot himself into the air with large and consistent explosions, that gives him the ability to fly to pretty much anywhere he wants. In Balance, his Quirk has been nerfed to only being able to make explosions the size of a fist and unable to use it consecutively. And he has to be drug aside from the group by the director to be hosed down with antiperspirant before entering the Moon Base, so he doesn't have the chance to ruin anything with his explosions." BARDIC INSPIRATION: "While in battle, you can sing a song to increase the morale of your teammates. This ability requires you to concentrate on your sick tunes. Outside of battle, you are adept at utilizing an instrument of your choice. Playing this instrument nets you free room and board at an inn, and can help earn you followers that might offer you information." VISCOUS MOCKERY: "You can use magic to cause a sick burn to your enemy. Your words become your weapon." HEALING WORD: "You can use magic to create a soothing power within your voice. Utilizing this spell will return a very small amount of health back to the person you target." MESSAGE: "You can use magic to send a telepathic message to anyone you can see." SLEEP: "You can use magic to put an enemy to sleep with your lullaby." FEATHER FALL: "You can use magic to slow your fall from heights." PRESTIDIGITATION: "You can use magic to create an instantaneous, harmless sensory effect. You can light or snuff a candle, torch or small bonfire. You can use it to clean the appearance of a person's clothes." weapons and inventory GRENADE DRUM: It's exactly what it sounds like. A marching drum that holds handmade grenades inside, and can turn into a grenade launcher within seconds thanks to a contraption built inside of it. Qrow helped him figure out how to make it work. BO-STAFF: A Bo-Staff made of a lightweight metal to ensure it doesn't break. Starts off as a small cylinder but with the press of a button, both sides of the staff shoot out and lock in place to it's full size. DAGGER: A dagger Bakugo carries on his person in dire situations. He has a sheath for it attached to a belt wrapped around his right thigh. CAPE: A cape specially made to keep cool underneath, yet warm in the cold.
