"Ah, we're always tormented by foolishness."

[It was supposed to be a field day today.

It was supposed to be a day filled with fun, kids laughing and showing off how they've improved over the months, getting ready for graduation of their first year at UA in a week. But even a fun day like today can still end up stained crimson with blood.

It started during the opening ceremony, as Midnight was giving a speech about how they were about to move into the next chapter of their life and how they should go all out today. Right after she declared that, an explosion was sound from behind her, near the entrance of the school. Pillars of black smoke could be seen billowing in large, rapidly growing clouds that blocked out the sun and the scene suddenly became chaotic. The Hero Course students all ran towards the explosion with their teachers, while the rest who weren't confident in their abilities to fight ran towards the closest dorm with the principal, Recovery Girl, and All Might.

It was a villain attack, that was plain as day. And as soon as they turned the corner they were greeted with a grizzly sight-- the gate of the school blown to smithereens, along with blood splattered on the ground and innocent bystanders lying dead on the ground. It wasn't the League of Villans doing, surprisingly. It was a different group, one that wanted to prove they were just as dangerous and scary as that other famous group was. Of course they'd target UA for their first real, big, declaration of villainy.

That was their mistake. It didn't take long after that for them to be quickly rounded up, beat up, and turned into police thanks to the efforts of the students and Pro Heroes. Though that isn't to say there weren't casualties. A good chunk of students had gotten injured from fighting, here and there, some even with broken bones and needing hospital trips. They were powerful villains, the worst being one with an explosion Quirk of his own. Not used the same way as Bakugo's, but able to cause just as much destruction.

Maybe that's why he went for him. Because he felt some kind of sense of responsibility, knowing so well how powerful a Quirk like that was.

It all happened so fast, too. One minute they were fighting, Bakugo running towards this villain with his own explosions blaring behind him, sending him flying towards the villain at top speed. The next minute, there's the sound of a crashing BOOM and screams as part of the structure of the school was chipped off the top thanks to that guy's Quirk. And being fast on his feet as he was, Bakugo used his Quirk to pivot himself back around, rushing towards the students who couldn't protect themselves as the huge chunks of cement and glass fell towards them. He reached them just in time to push them out of the way... before glass pierced his skin and he was crushed by the cement.

Not entirely. It was in pieces, and he was lucky enough to avoid becoming paste on the ground. But he wasn't lucky enough to get out of that with only minor injuries. He suffered a broken arm, rib, fracture in his leg and a snapped collar bone and to top it off... a fracture in his skull. There was so much blood from his head injury that some people thought he might have died-- but thankfully he was able to be taken to a hospital by one of the Pro Heroes who happened to watch that go down. So he survived.

He was out for three days. Critical condition for the first two, before he was transferred to the ICU to rest after surgeries for the last day. He finally stirred around dinner time, but he wasn't entirely.. conscious. The medicine had everything feeling fuzzy and like it wasn't really happening, and he didn't understand where he was or what happened.

But despite this, he stayed quiet and patient as the nurse watching him called in the doctor and he was asked a few simple questions. After giving acceptable answers, his family and Aizawa were both told that he had woken and he were to expect visits from them soon.

What he didn't know, was that there was a certain green haired boy already waiting out in the waiting room for him to wake up.]
